Tall Growing Tartarian and New England Asters
One of the most striking tall growing flowers is the aster. They grow best in zones four to eight, and they are tolerant of poor soil. The dainty fringed blooms are available in various shades of white, pink, blue, purple, and red. Choose these flowers for areas that receive full sun most of the day.
Asters are available in countless varieties, but they are not all tall growing flowers. The Tartarian cultivar is ideal when looking for tall growing plants for privacy because they can reach heights of seven feet. New England asters are also a good choice when seeking tall growing flowers. They reach heights of four feet, and they are perfect for bordering an outdoor sitting area.
Tall growing asters will bloom from the later weeks of summer and through the months of fall. Be sure to read the information included with the plants to make certain they are a tall growing variety. Another fantastic choice when looking for tall growing flowers is the spider flower. They can reach heights of six feet, and the spider-like blooms are available in beautiful shades of rose, light crimson, purple, and white. Although these tall growing flowers thrive in full sun, they can also be planted in partially shaded areas.
Many people use these flowers instead of hedges, and since each plant can grow to widths of three feet, they nicely fill in the gaps. Best of all, these lovely flowers require very little care, and they will beautifully shield a yard from prying eyes. The foliage smells similar to tomato plants, and for this reason they are not a good choice directly around a sitting area, but they are an excellent yard border. These tall growing flowers are annuals, but they will reseed themselves and come back year after year.
